The HXA is specifically developed for so called walk-on & walk-off horse transport with C-130 aircraft. The HXA features swinging doors (not ramps) at each end.
In between each HXA is a separate sandwich pallet with soft padding on top and hinging mechanisms to eliminate any gaps between the pallet positions and horse stables. One wide and safe corridor is as such created to allow the horse to be walked in and out by their experienced companions.
