VRR has a long history in developing and manufacturing car transporters, in fact we were first to market with a solution to transport cars in stacked configuration.
The A-frame car transporter is an efficient tool to transport two cars on one main deck position. We understand the importance of having A-frames that can fit on any 16ft or 20ft pallet, regardless of the pallet manufacturer.
Therefore our car transporters can be used on different pallets, thus avoiding the need of having to work with VRR pallets only. This in combination with being fully collapsible ensures easy inventory control of the 16ft/20ft pallets used in transporting high value vehicles.
The A-frames and upper platform are all manufactured from high grade aluminium alloy to provide a strong and durable unit.
The A-frames can fold together to allow transport in collapsed condition. The height of the collapsed unit is approximately 570 mm (23 inch) and enables loading of cargo on top of the platform during the repositioning. In assembled condition the frames are locked in the A-frame position. The complete A-frame (which runs across the full width of the pallet) is then secured with stainless steel bottom fixation parts into the seat track of the pallet, and this is repeated at the other end of the pallet.
With both A-frames properly secured on the pallet using the horizontal seat track of the pallet , the car platform can be placed on top of the A-frames. The A-frames have a robust centering piece built-in which will guide the platform to the correct locking position. Once the upper platform is positioned on top of the A-frames, it is locked in place with eight heavy duty eccentric buckles. All and all, it is an efficient unit with a proven track record.
