Utmost discrete, yet safe and efficient transport of a Formula 1 car?
This AMF container was developed in order to safely transport a Formula 1 car outside of the racing season for other purposes than sheer competition.
With a regular exterior, there is little to be noticed of the contents from the inside.
The small portals normally found on either side of the door aperture had to be removed to ensure a proper fit of the F1 car. Even though local reinforcements had to prevent a lack of rigidity, the door aperture grew such that a F1 car could just fit inside.
The container is equipped with a removeable forkliftable car platform. The car platform is taken out, placed in the warehouse and once the F! car is rolled on and restrained, the platform is than again placed inside the container. After locking the platform into place, ensuring a proper restraint, the container and car are good to go.
