A380 Cockpit Stairs. Stairway to Heaven?
The A380's three level deck configuration - a lower, main and upper deck - implies a stair is needed for access to the cockpit which is located between the main and upper deck.
VRR was awarded with the development and production order for the Ferry Flight Cockpit Stairs which connects the passenger and flight deck of the A380-800 fuselage. The Ferry Flight is the flight of the aircraft from the assembly line in Toulouse to Hamburg, where the interior will be installed and the exterior will be painted.
